RTRAs of CKYC held two live broadcasts on Aug 17 and Aug 31 respectively, sharing the essential information and skills for studying at University of Macau. These introductions are very important for freshmen. Particularly this academic year when freshmen are unable to come to the UM campus before online class begin, RTRAs decided to make this introduction online.

On August 17, RTRAs made the first live broadcast about the course selection system for freshmen on the BILIBILI live platform. This live broadcast aims to enable freshmen to learn how to use the course selection system, so as to better and faster adapt to the study life in UM. The anchor was Zhang Ziyue Lareina. During the live broadcast, other RTRAs also assisted in answering a lot of detailed questions about the course choices of different freshmen during the annual add/drop process.

For the second live broadcast on Aug 31, to focus the content for the students, RTRAs split the live broadcast into two parts, each being 45 minutes. In the first part, Lareina explained the use of e-portfolio, Microsoft Office & UM library database. While in the second part, RTs Ben and Carta gave a detailed lecture about Google application and the basic format of academic essay writing.

Through this activity, RTRAs demonstrated great teamwork and caring in helping new students’ adjustment to college. They were also impressed by the enthusiasm of our freshmen and their eagerness for University life.
