The College aims to provide Choi Kai Yau students with the supportive environment where students can sharpen their intellect, enrich their lives, discover their talents and goals, to better prepare for their future.

In particular, the College wants every student to succeed in her/his chosen discipline and career. As part of CKYC’s pastoral care, a Resident Academic staff serves as a mentor to every student for his/her First Year. The mentor meets regularly (at least once per semester) with the student, to provide academic advice and career guidance, to help the student manage the transition to university studies.

The Associate Master also works closely with the Faculties to keep track of upper year students who might need additional academic support.
