Congratulations to CKYC Student Min Shixin who participated in the East Asia Model United Nations in April and won the Model UN Essay Prize.

Thoughts from the awardee:

It is my pleasure to share my experience in participating East Asia Model United Nations in April. It was the first time for me to participate. And fortunately, I got the best document writing award.

During the four days, I played the role of an elected member of the Advisory Council of the Qing dynasty. I acquired knowledge about decision-making under that unique period and realized the difficulty in pursue constitutionalism. Meanwhile, the interactions between dais and delegates left me with a deep impression.

Time flies while friendship is left long. I received acquaintance from students of all ages and different places. People from various majors also broadened my point of view. Though we may have distinct goals in further studies, friendship would connect and bridge the geographic distance. I sincerely appreciated the understanding of my roommate Jolyn. She supported me in silence and accompanied me by my side.

As a third-year student, I strongly recommend fellow students to participate in activities interested. Hesitation may result in regret. Before attending one particular activity, you may have guesses or even doubts. But by taking action, worries could be tweaked. Our university and college provided abundant opportunities for us to find out what we want. Please cherish it.

Many thanks and best wishes!
