On 2nd December 2022, Choi Kai Yau College (CKYC) held a Professional Image Building and International Social Etiquette workshop to enhance the global competitiveness of students with the right tools to sharpen their image. CKYC was honored to have Ms. Mary Cheung, Miss Hong Kong of 1975 to deliver this workshop.

Ms. Mary Cheung is an image consultant, host, painter, photographer and retired actress. She was also the founder and managing director of a company which provides professional image consulting and business etiquette training for large corporations and professionals.

In the workshop, she mainly introduced to the students the key elements and techniques associated with projecting a professional image and effective communication in daily life. She mentioned that an individual’s ability to project a confident and positive image and communicate effectively in an organization would result in better performance and interpersonal relationships, increased job satisfaction, not to mention, leaving a positive and powerful first impression especially during an interview. “We can never undo our first impressions.” Ms. Mary Cheung said.

At the end of the workshop, students have learned to apply techniques to increase visibility and personal presence. Besides cultivating the business and social etiquette, we believe that this workshop also helps students in self-improvement, becoming more graceful and confident to enhance their self-confidence.
