The CICA Debate Competition was successfully held earlier. CKYC Debate Team won the third place after an intense debate with LCWC. Congratulations and thanks to the efforts of all team members from our debate team!

The overall performance of the CICA Debate Competition was very good. Through the efforts of eight members of the CKYC Debate Team, we won the third place. In the preliminary debate with SHEAC, our college won by an absolute advantage of 3:0. Meanwhile, Wang Haoran’s outstanding performance won the title of the best debater! In the second preliminary match against HFPJC, our college won the match with a score of 2:1 and finally emerged from the preliminary match with the first place in Group B and entered the semi-final. Though narrowly defeated in the semi-final against CKLC, he won the match with excellent performance in the subsequent battle for the third place and secured the third place. There were 4 contests, 3 wins, which demonstrated our CKYC debating team’s excellent level of debating. If the team members can overcome their nervousness, they will surely achieve better results in the future competitions!
In addition to winning the third place, the players and the audience have a new understanding of globalization, big data and other concepts. Winning a race is not the end. Getting something out of a race is more important.
