The College is delighted to announce that our Interim College Master, Prof. Garry Wong, has been awarded the Outstanding Teaching Award 2023, 2024, 2025, a distinction that recognizes his exceptional dedication to education and mentorship. Out of hundreds of academic staff members across the University, only 22 educators were selected for this honor, underscoring the significance of Prof. Wong’s achievement.

The award celebrates excellence in teaching and the building of collaborative partnerships. It honors educators who demonstrate commitment, collaboration, and a lasting impact on students and colleagues. Selection is based on significant contributions, including sustained teaching engagement, consistently high evaluation scores, and strong collaboration with the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE).

Prof. Wong has exemplified these qualities through his tireless devotion to teaching and his role as a mentor to countless students. Over the past three years, he has conducted numerous teaching sessions, consistently earning excellent evaluations and fostering a supportive learning environment. His passion for education and ability to inspire students reflect his deep commitment to nurturing both academic excellence and personal growth.

Having previously served as a Non-resident Fellow before becoming Interim College Master in December, Prof. Wong’s recognition carries special meaning for our College. His teaching excellence and mentorship now extend into his role as Interim College Master, where his presence enriches the College community by connecting academic achievement with a supportive and inclusive environment.
