On March 15, 2025, an exciting event named “Hands and Feet 2.0” took place at W31 Dining Hall. The event was organized by the Sports and Culture Group of the House Association.
A total of 20 participants, all CKYC members, gathered for this unique experience. The event started with a warm – up session from 14:40 to 15:00, followed by an immersive game experience from 15:00 to 17:00. The participants were divided into teams, each equipped with different medieval – inspired weapons like spears, single – handed swords, two – handed swords, and shields.
The “Hands and Feet 2.0” event was not just a game but also an educational journey. It aimed to teach participants about medieval combat techniques, the use of cold weapons, and the historical context of medieval battles. Moreover, through the combat – like movements, it promoted physical fitness, coordination, agility, strength, and endurance.
During the competition, there were clear rules. For example, the goal was to push the siege ball across the opponent’s within 8 minutes to win. If a player hit the ball, they had to run around the basketball court and then could re-enter the game. Malicious actions were strictly prohibited to ensure a safe and friendly atmosphere.
This event successfully combined history, sports, and fun, leaving a deep impression on all participants. It did not only enhance their knowledge but also improved their physical abilities in an enjoyable way.
