The Mid-Autumn Festival is a day for family reunion. The House Association of Choi Kai Yau College, has held the activity “Mid-Autumn Treasure Hunt” on the following day of Mid-Autumn Festival, for the students who cannot go home, to share the joy of the mooncake festival together.

The theme of this activity is a treasure hunt game with the background of the moon palace in ancient Chinese myths and legends. The College has been set as the legendary moon palace and students were invited to enter the “palace” to explore and complete different given missions together. Throughout the task, the participants and their partners had to work well together, to improve their collaboration and communications skills, in order to achieve the missions. Students have made a lot of new friends across different majors and classes while playing the games.

The students who participated in the activity said that, they could not go home to reunite with their families during the mooncake festival this year, but they could celebrate the festival with their classmates and new friends, get to know each other, and play games together, that was another way of reunion and brought them relief from their longing for home.
