On the evening of April 26, 2025, the Choi Kai Yau College at the University of Macau held a study abroad application sharing session. Four college students who had successfully received postgraduate admission offers from overseas institutions introduced overseas postgraduate degree application process for North America, the UK, Hong Kong, and Singapore. The four students are majored in business, humanities, social sciences, and education.
The sharing session was extremely informative and practical, covering topics such as how to maximize the use of internships and research opportunities, helping students understand how to accumulate valuable experiences within limited time to enhance their competitiveness; how to prepare for interviews, including detailed explanations on interview techniques and mindset adjustments; and how to plan timelines to assist students in avoiding last-minute rushes.
A first-year student mentioned that she was determined to apply for postgraduate studies but had no idea where to start, often feeling lost and confused. After attending the sharing session, she gained much clarity—not only understanding the basic application process and key considerations but also receiving many practical tips. She now feels much more confident about her future application journey.
