Resident Tutors (RT) and Resident Assistants (RA) of the 1st and 2nd floors of the Choi Kai Yau College jointly held an interesting DIY activity, on the eve of the festival, of decorations for The Lantern Festival to further promote traditional Chinese culture and enhance the cultural self-confidence of the college students. First of all, 2nd floor RA Gan Lihong led the students to review the origin of the Lantern Festival, the types and significance of decorations. Then, according to their understanding of the Lantern Festival decorations, the students carefully made different Lantern Festival decorations in this Do-It-Yourself project. In the process, they helped each other, learned from each other and felt very happy. After a while, beautiful and festive tiger hats, blessing characters and Spring Festival couplets were presented in front of us, which made everyone feel the festive atmosphere of the Lantern Festival in advance. This activity not only helps to enhance the cooperation and interaction between college students, but also makes everyone feel the charm of Chinese traditional culture.
