CKYC students recently visited the Macau Deaf Association Center in April, which serves people with hearing impairment. Upon arrival, students were greeted warmly by the center counselors, who shared various facts about people with hearing impairment and clarified some common misunderstandings. Then the students experienced what daily life is like for people with hearing impairment, and they learned that it is not easy for a person with hearing impairment to work on a daily task as simple as ordering food.

The highlight of the day was that students made a tulip flower craft with the participants. It was a challenging task for most students because they had to communicate using hand gestures. In the end, the participants were grateful to the students for making the flowers with them. The students also felt content with their learning experience with the participants.
