Welcome to Choi Kai Yau College!
I am delighted to welcome you. Choi Kai Yau College is a place to learn, grow, mature, and find out who you are what you could be doing. In addition to shelter, food, and social connection, we provide opportunities for learning outside the classroom. Through the college courses, tutorials, and interactions with your teachers and peers, we hope to provide a supportive and enriching environment.
But this is all up to you! In life, you get out what you put in, so I hope to encourage you to make the most of your college experience by being alert, active, and engaged. After all, the college is what we make it to be. The time we spend to study in university goes by so quickly so take every opportunity to reach out, make a friend, help a stranger, or just say hello to someone you don’t know. It takes courage, but the rewards are worth it. It has always worked for me no matter where I lived or what stage of life I was living.
Finally, I want you to embrace the international atmosphere we have in Macau and in our college. The mix of Eastern and Western cultures is so harmonious and unique that you may never experience it again anywhere else. So don’t miss it. I am amazed by it daily and I trust you will find it amazing too. Hope to see you around the College.
