On 16 July, two students respectively from Shiu Pong College and Choi Kai Yau College of the University of Macau participated in the Forum on Education of Modern Residential College 2022 and gave wonderful speeches during the webinar.
The webinar was hosted by the Academic Affairs Office of Nankai University and organized by Mudan Academy of Nankai University. The theme of the forum is “Sharing the wisdom, creating the future – College Education for Students’ Growth”. 21 students coming from 14 Universities, including Nankai University, Beihang University, Ocean University of China, and the University of Macau delivered their speeches by introducing the education model of Residential Colleges and exchanging their learning experiences in the forum. This forum has successfully attracted nearly 300 participants to attend.
Lin Yitong, the student from Shiu Pong College of the University of Macau having six years of experience in learning and servicing in the college, shared the concept of “comprehensive growth” and “individualized teaching” adopted in the College’s education. Kuang Siyuan, the student from Choi Kai Yau College of the University of Macau took a music video project to illustrate “outside-classroom learning”. His amazing music video has also attracted the attention of the audience. By joining this forum, both students have broadened their horizons, at the same time, discovered different learning platforms, spiritual and comprehensive cultivation of various Colleges. They are looking forward to having more communication opportunities held offline in the future.
