The residential college delegation from the University of Macau attended the “10th Cross-Strait and Hong Kong-Macao Universities Modern College System Education Forum” from June 27 to 30. Over 300 experts, scholars, and representatives from more than 40 universities across Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao participated in the event, sharing their experiences in college education.
Representatives from Choi Kai Yau College, joined the forum to discuss approaches to student development under the modern college system. Their paper titled “Artificial Intelligence Usage Habits and Its Impact on Academic Performance and Teamwork – A Case Study of Students in the Residential Colleges at the University of Macau”, authored by student Xiao Yixuan and resident fellow Lantz Wu, was selected for inclusion in the forum’s collection of outstanding papers. This study, based on residential college education, showed positive impacts of the college system on student development, highlighting the achievements of the University of Macau’s college education model.
The forum provided a valuable platform for college educators from different regions to build connections, exchange ideas, and inspire deeper thinking about the future development of residential college systems.
