On November 15, 2025, Choi Kai Yau College welcomed a delegation from the Residential College 2 of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). The visit aimed to gain an in-depth understanding of the residential college system and culture at the University of Macau and to promote exchange and collaboration between the two institutions.
During the event, Prof. Zhen Yong, Associate Vice-President, and Acting Master of Residential College 2 of the HKUST(GZ), and Master Janny Leung of Choi Kai Yau College exchanged commemorative gifts and took a group photo, symbolizing the establishment of friendship between the two colleges. A student leader sharing session was subsequently held, where student leaders from the CKYC introduced their academic life, student club activities, and leadership development experiences to the visiting students, fostering lively interaction.
The exchange also extended to Cheng Yu Tung College. Under the guidance of Master Alfred Wong, the visiting delegation toured the college, gaining a deep understanding of its unique approaches to cultural inheritance and campus life.
Finally, led by the UM PRSA, the delegate toured the University of Macau campus, experiencing firsthand its academic atmosphere and cultural heritage. Through this exchange, the delegation from HKUST(GZ) not only deepened their understanding of the UM residential college system but also built a strong friendship with UM residential colleges.
Choi Kai Yau College highly values this exchange opportunity and sees it as a chance to promote mutual learning and sharing of residential college systems and cultures between the two universities, hoping to continuously expand the scope and depth of cooperation in the future.
