Choi Kai Yau College and Tomato House (a local restaurant) jointly organized the activity of delivering happiness to the elderly. The General Manager of the restaurant discussed the restaurant’s history and social responsibility as a local business. Students prepared sandwiches and delivered them to Kiang Wu Hospital’s Corning Center, for elderly patients suffering from serious illnesses.
The purpose of this meaningful activity is not only to provide care for these elderly people who are suffering from serious illnesses. It also draws attention to the needs of various communities that appreciate warmth and love. Our sandwiches today may be simple, but that would be a meaningful way to spread warmth and kindness to the elderly. Sometimes, a little kindness and dedication “letting our own light shine” can make our society a better place.
