In January 2026, representatives from Choi Kai Yau College and Stanley Ho East Asia College launched a two-day study tour to The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) (HKUST-GZ) and enterprises in Nansha. The event aimed to help participants understand Nansha’s development planning and the latest achievements in cutting-edge fields such as intelligent manufacturing, stimulate their interest in technological innovation, and build a bridge between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

The group visited Nansha Planning Exhibition Hall, GAC Toyota, Sunwah International Youth Entrepreneurship Center, Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base, Guangzhou COEUS Digital Technology Co., Ltd., and HKUST-GZ. During their visit to HKUST-GZ, the students and teachers focused on core laboratories including the NICE Chip Laboratory, IADC Autonomous Driving Laboratory, and MPMRF Multifunctional Polymer Film Laboratory.

Students who participated in the event stated that the activity broke down the barriers between classrooms and industrial practice, transforming abstract textbook knowledge into tangible technical scenarios and industrial cases, which greatly enhanced their ability to understand and apply knowledge. This study tour allowed both students and teachers to personally feel the strong pulse of technological innovation and injected new impetus into subsequent teaching and learning work.
