From May 25 to June 2, 2025, 12 undergraduates from Choi Kai Yau College of the University of Macau went to the Second Primary School in Xiushui County, Jiangxi Province, for a week-long volunteer teaching activity.

CKYC volunteer-teachers designed interactive courses in multiple fields such as art and handicrafts, fun English, Macau culture, and sport. With the active participation of the representatives and the students from Xiushui Second Primary School, a dual inspiration of “classroom + extracurricular” and “knowledge + vision” was formed. During the visit, Choi Kai Yau College also collaborated with the Student Affairs Office of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, to organize a study tour to the Huang Tingjian Memorial Hall for local left-behind children, providing them with an unforgettable experience.

This knowledge transfer across thousands of miles has broadened the children’s horizons and built a spiritual monument for the students. This experience not only enriched the children’s knowledge but also deepened the connection between the students from Macau and Xiushui. The joy of learning and the spirit of cooperation will remain in their hearts, inspiring them to continue exploring and growing. The seeds of friendship and knowledge planted during this week will surely bloom into a brighter future for all involved.
